Description

Our Estate Shiraz Viognier is our most beloved and awarded wine. Due to the unfavourable weather conditions in 2022 and 2023, we were unable to produce our signature Estate Shiraz Viognier, instead producing the Shiraz Regional Blend. We are now thrilled to present this 2024 vintage, crafted with traditional co-fermentation of Shiraz and 4% Viognier, followed by 9 months in French barriques (12% new). The result is an elegant, rich, and spicy Shiraz, with layers of fruity complexity that will continue to evolve over the next 10-15 years.

Shiraz clone “1654” is recognised as a benchmark for the classic Australian Shiraz profile, with intense fruit purity, fleshy mid-palate weight, and velvety tannins. In warm years (as in the 2024 vintage), it shows aromas of dark chocolate, black liquorice, peppermint, with flavours of dark fruit, plum, and spice.
